The Real Price of a Hamburger

With a classic style and an excellent soundtrack and narration, this video from the Center for Investigative Reporting’s Food for 9 Billion seeks the true cost of the very American staple food. Americans eat an average of three burgers each week, and though it takes only a few of dollars to purchase one of the 48 billion burgers consumed each year, that price tag starts to seem miniscule compared to the huge costs of greenhouse gasses, water use, pollution, healthcare and other areas.
